The Jefferson County North lady Chargers charged through last week to a 3-0 mark to improve to 14-3 on the season picking up a pair of Northeast Kansas League wins and a non-league win.
Helping lead the way was sophomore, Josie Weishaar who put together some strong performances to help guide the Chargers to three wins. The week opened with a win over Cornerstone at home 57-42 and Weishaar notched 22 points in the contest and filled out the rest of the stat sheet quite nicely with seven rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 52% from the floor in the win.
On Tuesday JCN squeezed out a one-point road win over Pleasant Ridge 45-44 and Weishaar scored 17 points in the contest with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block while going 9-9 from the free throw line and shooting 50% from the floor.
JCN wrapped up the week with a convincing win at Maur Hill-Mount Academy claiming the 64-42 win. Weishaar put forth he best scoring effort of the season dropping 27 points and did it several ways going 4-7 from three and 5-5 from the free throw line. She added eight rebounds, two assists and three steals in the win.
Throughout the season Weishaar has been leading the charge for JCN averaging 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
JCN looks to wrap up the regular season strong and gear up for a run in the postseason.
