Aaliyah Negonsott

The Jeff West Tigers jumped right back into the action out of the holiday break pouncing on a pair of wins both on the road and against fellow top teams in the Big Seven League.

Helping lead the charge in both games and this season has been the play of junior, Aaliyah Negonsott. Negonsott tallied a game high 17 points in a 52-45 win in Overtime against top ranked 3A team in Nemaha Central. She followed that up with a double-double performance in another road in Overtime for the Tigers as they claimed a 46-42 win over Royal Valley and Negonsott posted 14 points and 10 rebounds.

On the year the Tiger junior is averaging 13.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.3 steals per game and has scored double figures in six of the teams eight contests. Aaliyah recorded a season high 22 points against Riverside in a win and has posted two double-double’s on the season.

Negonsott and company enjoyed a Big Seven title last year and a 4A-DII State runner-up finish and have their sights set on another top flight finish in the League and another run in the postseason.
