Laura Macke

The Thunder has sounded multiple times to open the season as the Nemaha Central girls are off to a 5-0 start this season on the basketball court.

A key piece to the success this season has been the play senior, Laura Macke who has led the charge for the Thunder and that includes an out pouring of points in a road win over Royal Valley. The Thunder beat Royal Valley 67-45 and Macke put on a scoring display netting 31 points with 20 coming in the first half and she added six rebounds to her night. Laura also notched an 18 point, six rebound and three steal night against Sabetha in a win for Nemaha Central.

The Kansas State basketball commit has scored 12 points or more in all five games this season averaging 18.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game, while shooting 58% from the floor and 70% from the free throw line.

The Thunder and Macke have their sights set on a strong season and look to continue to keep rolling this season.
