Reagan Kirkwood

After a tough close loss to open the season the Valley Falls lady Dragons bounced back to get their first two wins of the year beating Pleasant Ridge and Oskaloosa last week.

Plenty of experience returned for the Dragons this season and helping lead the way to start the season has been the play of senior, Reagan Kirkwood who poured 26 points against Pleasant Ridge and followed that up with a 12 point showing in the win against Oskaloosa.

Kirkwood in the season opener notched a 20 point performance under belt even hitting a buzzer beating three-pointer at the end of the game as the Dragons fell by one to Centralia.

In just three games the Dragons point guard is already shown why she is key piece to the success of the team this year as she is averaging 19 points, three rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game all while shooting 59% from the floor.

Partnered with her returning teammates that bring back plenty of experience Kirkwood and the Dragons have their sights set on a top finish in the Northeast Kansas League and a run in the postseason.
