Centralia Panther, Morgan Kramer Making Big Impact As a Freshman
Morgan Kramer

The Centralia lady Panthers have picked up from where they left off last year and started the season strong with a 7-0 record and now 30-straight wins dating back to last year. This season the contributions have definitely come from all over with some big games from some young players including a freshman who seems to found her shooters touch.

Freshman, Morgan Kramer has found her shot in the last three games for the Panthers raining in three-pointers and 60 points in the three wins over Hanover, Frankfort and Troy. Centralia trailing most of the game at home against Hanover completed the comeback for a 55-48 win and Kramer who was in some early foul trouble in the contest posted 14 points in the contest all coming in the second half and hit the game tying three-pointer late to send the game to overtime ultimately.

Earlier in the week, Kramer and the Panthers played some strong team basketball and earned a 71-54 road win over Frankfort. Morgan poured in 20 points hitting four trifectas in the win. Her best game of the season came just before the holiday break in a win at Troy in which she made it rain from behind the arc draining eight three-pointers and tallied 26 points in the win.

On the year Kramer as jumped into a starting role for the Panthers as a freshman and made a huge impact for the defending Class 1A-DI Champions and the current #1 ranked 1A-DI team by the KBCA as she’s averaging 12 points per game, along with 1.5 rebounds per game and two assists per game. She’s also developed a consistent outside shot making 2.6 three-pointers per game.

The Panthers are healthy and looking to continue their prowl this season for another big run and Kramer has become a big piece to the puzzle for the team this year.
