After bursting onto the high school cross country season as a freshman last year and finishing 11th at State (21:00.48) in Class 2A, Jackson Heights Cobra sophomore, Faith Little is off and running this year to another strong cross country season.
Little in four races this year has finished first twice and second the other two times. Most recently the Cobra sophomore notched a time of 21:45 to win the Horton Invitational, winning by 15 seconds. Her other win came at the Onaga Invite, a race in which she posted a time of 21:30.72 to take the gold by 1:18.
Faith registered second place finishes at both the Holton and Royal Valley Invites posting times of 21:48 and 19:49.21, respectively. At the Royal Valley competition Little and her teammates earned first place as a team.
Coming off her 11th place finish at State in Class 2A last year (100 runners at State) Little has put together a strong sophomore campaign and looks to continue to find success running with a return trip to State a goal.
