An Axtell Eagle freshman has put herself on the map early in her high school cross country career as Olivia Kuckelman has started the season strong running past the competition with three first place finishes in four races and third place finish in the other.
Last week Kuckelman dominated the competition at the Nemaha Central Invitational running to a time of 22:52.70 to take first place and by a wide margin, winning the race by over one minute and ten seconds. The freshman’s other two wins this year have come by sizeable gaps also as she started her high school running career with a time of 22:32.79 to win the Marysville Invite, winning by 39 seconds, while taking the gold at the Washington County Invite with a time of 22:20 to win by 55 seconds.
Olivia’s only non-first place finish was at the Onaga Invitational were she took third place with a time of 23:03.83.
The freshman is off to a hot start to the season and to her high school cross country career as she looks to continue her success and strives to earn a spot at State as freshman.
