Ryan Hasenkamp

It took every point, every yard and inch for the Nemaha Central Thunder to lay claim to a big road Big Seven League win in week three of the football season topping Holton 43-42.

Helping lead the charge with his teammates was senior quarterback, Ryan Hasenkamp who gave the Thunder the lead with 37 seconds left in the game as he pushed through the line with his teammates help to score a two-point conversion to ultimately give the Thunder the 43-42 win and improve Nemaha Central to 3-0 on the season.

It was a strong performance for the Thunder offense in the win as Hasenkamp was at the reins of the offense going 17-19 for 214 yards with a touchdown, connecting on all 11 passes thrown in the second half. The senior added 42 yards on 13 carries on the night and two touchdowns.

With the 214 yard performance Ryan nearly double his passing yards this season, having only played limited action in the first two weeks with several other starters in lopsided Thunder wins. Hasenkamp on the year is 28-40 for 432 yards with four touchdowns and only one interception, while rushing for 157 yards on 27 carries with four touchdowns, posting a 5.8 yard per carry average.

After a strong year last season the Thunder are off and rolling to start the 2016 season and look primed for another big season with Hasenkamp helping lead the way with several skilled playmakers joining him for Nemaha Central to be a strong contender.
