Cuttar Huss

The Troy Trojans are riding a wave balance on offense and defense getting them back into the 2-1A Sub-State action of the playoffs this year as they are 9-1 on the season and have won nine straight after a 58-21 win at Lyndon in the Sectional round of the playoffs.

The Trojans dispatched Lyndon in impressive fashion and scoring came from everywhere.  Junior, Cuttar Huss was a huge part of Troy earning the road win. Huss snagged seven passes for 97 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 67 yards on just four carries. Cuttar’s impact didn’t stop there as he intercepted two Lyndon passes and ran one back 51 yards for a touchdown in the win. Six other guys accounted for a touchdown in some fashion in the win for Troy..

On the season Huss has been an impact player for Troy night in and night out making impact plays in all facets of the game. He’s posting a blistering 14 yards per carry this season with 42 carries for 589 yards and 10 touchdowns, while catching 46 passes for 633 yards with eight touchdowns (13.8 yards per catch). On defense he has over 40 tackles, has grabbed seven interceptions, forced a fumble and scored on defense and special teams (punt return touchdown).

The Trojans face a familiar obstacle on Friday against Olpe in the 2-1A Sub-State round of the playoffs for the second straight year, this year getting the game at home and Huss with his playmaking ability along with his teammates look to get revenge for last year’s loss to Olpe and earn a trip to the 2-1A State Championship game.
