Winning is something at the Centralia volleyball program is accustomed too and that hasn’t changed this year as they are off to a 19-1 record thus far, including a trio of Twin Valley League wins last week.

The Panthers downed Axtell (25-14, 25-14), Frankfort (25-13, 25-12) and Valley Heights (25-19, 25-11) all in straight sets at Axtell last week.

Helping lead Centralia on the court this season has been the play of junior outside hitter, Cassidy Haufler. Cassidy versus Valley Heights notched eight kills, a block, three aces and eight digs, while picking up eight kills, three blocks and six digs in the win over Frankfort. In the contest against Axtell, Cassidy registered nine kills, while picking up 12 digs, an ace and three blocks.

On the season Haufler has been a spiking machine with 193 kills for a 4.7 kills per set average, while recording 127 digs, 19 aces and 46 blocks on the year.

The Panthers are currently ranked second in the latest KVA poll in Class 1A-DII and are the two-time defending State Champs and with the play of Haufler and her teammates Centralia has their sights set on another big run this volleyball season.
