Sprinting is the name of the game for Holton Wildcat senior, Kimmie Snepp as all season it’s been much of the same for the senior, as she laces up the track shoes and breeze’s past the competition.
Last week Snepp raced into the record books at Holton as she broke a pair of school records after posting times of 12.43 and 25.75 to win the 100 and 200 meter dashes at the Royal Valley Invitational. The senior also partnered with three of her teammates to notch a time of 52.64 to claim the 4x100 meter relay title at the Royal Valley Invite.
Kimmie has continued to race past the competition throughout the year going seven for seven in the 100 meter dash for the gold and with her teammates also going seven for seven in the 4x100 meter relay with golds this year. On the season Snepp is undefeated in action on the track competing in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash and 4x100 meter relay.
While the fastest times for Snepp in the 100 and 200 meter dash came in the last competition, setting new school records the fastest time for the lady Wildcats 4x100 meter relay team was at the Holton Invitational on April 21st when they posted a time of 51.28.
Only three meets remain on the year with League, Regionals and State and Snepp has her sights set on continuing to better her marks and reach Wichita to compete at State.
