Connor Mickens

It’s been a strong start to the boy’s golf season for one Jeff West Tiger as he’s teed it up four times in action and came away with a first or second place individual performance on the course. Senior, Connor Mickens has started his final golf season at Jeff West by leading the way for the team with his leadership and play on the course.

Last week Mickens shot a 37 at Western Hills in Big Seven League golf action as the Tigers competed against Royal Valley and Holton and the senior posted the best round of the day. To cap of the week he followed that up by shooting an 85 to take second place at the Santa Fe Trail Invite competing against 38 other golfers, while leading the Tigers to a second place team performance out of six teams.

Connor started the season by posting a 79 on the scorecard at the Olpe Invite for Jeff West, as the Tigers took sixth out of 14 teams and the senior took second place individually out of 83 competitors. Mickens followed that up with an individual second place at the Olpe Invite, while also helping the Tigers team take third place.

Mickens looks to continue his momentum from the early portion of the golf season by putting and driving his way to more success on the course for the Tigers in his senior season.
