Breanna Smith

The Troy lady Trojans got off to a bit of a bumpy start to the season opening the year 0-2, but quickly responded last week going 2-0 during the year to head into the holiday break 2-2 on the season. The Trojans picked up a pair of wins on the road topping a ranked Jefferson County North team, 51-21 and beating Blue Valley-Randolph, 53-38.

Helping lead the charge for the Trojans on the court was senior forward, Breanna Smith who posted back-to-back double-doubles in the wins. Smith started the week helping lead Troy to a big win JCN on the road, posting a game-high 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Looking to build on that momentum from the win Breanna continued to play well, going off for 21 points and snatching 12 rebounds in the road win over Blue Valley.

On the season Smith is scoring at a clip of 12 ppg for the lady Trojans and will be looked to all year for senior leadership on the floor for Coach Derek Jasper.

The lady Trojans head into the holiday break 2-2 and will look to build on the momentum of two wins before the break, as they look to compete in the tough Twin Valley League.
