Holton Wildcat, Indie Allen Runs Wild on in Big Offensive Game vs. Perry

Holton Wildcats secured their seventh straight Big Seven football title last Friday with a 56-27 win over Perry Lecompton and picked up the District title in the process as well, improving to 7-1 on the season. 

In the process of gaining the win and 17th straight trip to the playoffs, the Wildcats posted 604 yards of total offense in the win against the Kaws and a key contributor to that was senior, Indie Allen.  Allen on just 11 carries ran for 292 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Allen averaged 26.5 yards per carry in the contest posting a big play almost everytime he touched the ball.

The senior’s impact on the game didn’t stop there as he caught a pass for 19 yards and notched an interception on defense to go along with 10 tackles (one for loss) in the win.

On the season, Allen leads the rushing attack of Holton that has ran for nearly 3,000 yards as a team. Allen on the year has posted 974 yards himself on 93 carries with eight TDs, touting a 10.5 yard per carry average and 121.8 yards per game average. While on defense adding 40-plus tackles, and interception and fumble recovery on the season.

Allen and company has the Wildcats headed to the playoffs yet again this season and will wrap up the regular season on Friday against Royal Valley looking for their seventh straight season of unbeaten play in the Big Seven League.
