Centralia Boys Golf Team

Fore!! The golf ball was sailing and rolling the right way for the Centralia boy’s golf team at the Class 1A State competition in Garden City at Southwind Country Club as they shot their way to the State title, the first boys golf title in school history.
After winning Regionals, Centralia took to the course one final time against nine other teams from across the State in 1A competition and the Panthers pounced on their opportunity posting a four-man team score of 372 to claim the State title by seven strokes.
Panthers were led Ryan Vernon who claimed the individual State title with a round of 73 winning the 1A State title by three strokes. Danny Mueting, Brett Burdiek and Jason Gore rounded out the four-man team score for the Panthers after posting rounds of 97, 100 and 102, respectively. Mueting took 22nd place with his 97, while Burdiek finished 27th with his 100 and Gore finished 32nd overall behind his 102.
Chase Boyce and Kobe Rumbo also competed for the Panthers at State posting rounds of 112 and 132, respectively.
The Panthers added to a packed trophy case from this year claiming the schools third State title at that point during the year.
