Top notch performances and winning on the track and in the field this something that Rock Port Bluejay senior, Eric Duncan has grown accustomed too over the course of his high school career and dominate performances during his senior year have made it much of the same.
Last week Duncan continued his strong senior campaign by taking home the gold in all four events he competed in and helping Rock Port place second as a team in Districts just nine points shy of first place. Duncan soared to the high jump (6’02), long jump (21’02) and triple jump (42’06) titles on the day, while also claiming the 100 meter dash title behind a time of 11.95. Duncan’s widest margin of victory came in the high jump winning by four inches.
The senior is set to compete at Sectionals this coming weekend for the chance to return to the Class 1 State competition in Missouri where he has competed in at least three events since his freshman year. Last year Duncan took home the high jump, long jump and triple jump titles while finishing second in the 100 meter dash.
Eric is looking to cap off his great track season and career as a Rock Port Bluejay with a return trip to State and chance to come home with more hardware and looks primed to continue his momentum headed into Sectionals this weekend.
