The track season started off with a bang for the Riverside Cyclone boys as they took home the team gold at their home Riverside Relays competition and were led by 10 first place performances. Cyclones whirled their way to the team title behind 175 points, finishing 67 points better than second place and beating nine other teams competing on the day.
Senior, Dillon Logston helped spear head the Cyclones strong start to the track season notching three first place finishes at his home meet the Riverside Relays. Logston leapt his way to two wins and vaulted his way to another, grabbing three gold’s in the field competitions.
Logston won the long jump crown with a leap of 19’2, winning the event by over a foot, while he jumped 5’10 to claim the high jump title, too. In the pole vault Dillon won by his widest margin posting a vault of 11’0 taking first place by over two feet.
The Riverside senior has started his season strong with the trio of gold’s he earned in the Riverside Relays and helped his team set the bar early in the season for the Cyclones to continue to build upon moving forward in the track season.
