Kyrstie Miller

It hasn’t been the dominating season of past for the Holton Lady Wildcats but they sit at 8-6 on the season and ranked ninth in the latest Class 4A-Division II polls behind the great leadership and play of senior, Kyrstie Miller who has put together a strong senior campaign.

Miller last week helped the Wildcats notch a Big Seven league win over Hiawatha on Friday, 54-43 by posting her third triple-double of the season. Kyrstie posted 17 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and swiping 14 steals on the night and also registering three blocks in the win.

The senior, followed that performance up with her seventh double-double of the season going for a season high 25 points against Concordia in a 59-46 win. Miller added 10 rebounds, eight steals and six assists to her stat line on the night in the win.

Kyrsti, the only returning starter for the Wildcats, has lead the team with her senior leadership and also with her play on the court putting together an impressive stat line all season of 13 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 8.4 spg, 2.1 apg and 2.1 bpg.

The Wildcats look to continue to ride the momentum of their four game winning streak and close out the regular season strong to gear up for postseason play.  Miller looks to end her Holton career by leading her team to another successful season, before heading to Emporia State to play basketball next year.
