B&B Falcon, Dustin Rottinghaus Leads Falcons Aerial Assault
Dustin Rottinghaus

Shredding opposing defenses that's all the B&B Falcons offense has done all season behind the mastery of their aerial attack and the maestro of that of potent aerial attack senior, Dustin Rottinghaus has been posting crazy numbers this season as he continually utilizes all the weapons surrounding him.

Rottinghaus orchestrated the Falcons offense against rival Hanover in the semifinals of the 8-Man Division II playoffs recently completely 21-40 passes for 317 yards and eight TD's to just one interception, as the Falcons tossed nine TD's in the 60-14 win. Rottinghaus connected with four different guys for at least one touchdown in the game and three caught a pair of TD's from the Falcon quarterback.

His impact on the win over Hanover wasn't just felt on offense as he totaled nine tackles, grabbed a pair of interceptions, and totaled four pass defenses on defense in the win. With the win B&B earned their sixth straight appearance in a state championship game.

All season Dustin as slung the ball round to help the B&B Falcons post an 11-1 record and score 51.5 ppg, as he's totaled 2,262 yards passing on 138-232 (58.2% completion %). The senior has put the ball on point for 41 TD's this season to just six interceptions, giving him a nearly a seven to one TD to INT ratio. With his season thus far Rottinghaus has posted over 4,000 yards passing in his Falcon career totaling 4,073 yards with one more game to go, while tossing 64 TD's to only 16 interceptions in his career.

On top of his aerial display this season, Rottinghaus has carried the ball 95 times for 380 yards (2nd on the team) for 13 TD's and played a key role of defense, too. Defensively the Falcon senior has totaled 40 tackles, a sack, three interceptions, six pass defenses, fumble recovery and blocked field goal.

While Rottinghaus put up big numbers against Hanover and other opponents this season he'll be the first to tell you that it's not about him but about his team and the guys that are suited up with him under the lights every time. Come Saturday, November 23rd the Dustin and his comrades will suit up one last time in Falcons colors on the football field as they look to go out on top again this season and permanently as it will be the last football for B&B high school when they play Wallace County in the 8-Man Division II state title game.
