Mitchell Kufahl

From the football field in small town Onaga to Salina and playing college football at Kansas Wesleyan, playing for one of the top NAIA teams in the nation. Former Onaga Buffalo, Mitchell Kufahl made the transition to college football and has been a strong part of the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes the last past three years and in his final season is having a strong season at tight end.
The Coyotes are 4-1 on the season and tied for 14th in the NAIA National Top 25 poll most recently picking up a win 49-25 over McPherson College. Kufahl snagged two passes in the win for 72 yards and a touchdown.
On the season the former Onaga Buffalo has caught 12 passes for 284 yards with four touchdowns, leading the team in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. In the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Mitchell ranks seventh in receiving yards, while KWU has the second highest scoring offense (35.8 ppg) in the conference and tops the conference in total offense per game (482.8 ypg).
Entering the season Kufahl picked up All-KCAC preseason honors, while as a junior he was named first team All-KCAC after a 23 catch season amassing 445 yards with six touchdowns in eight games. In his career he’s caught 79 passes for 1,468 yards with 13 touchdowns in 23 games.
While at Onaga Kufahl picked up All-Twin Valley League football honors and in his senior year helped guide the Buffaloes to a District title and playoff berth.
The former Buffalo looks to finish out his college football career helping his team to another strong season and push for the postseason.
