Raegan Hamm

Jumping right into the fold and making an impact from high school to college no matter the sport or level is a tough thing to do but former Oskaloosa Bear, Raegan Hamm has done just that at Highland Community College with the softball team.
Hamm in her first season in college at Highland has jumped right in and made a big impact for the 22-5 Scotties softball team that is currently ranked ninth in the NJCAA Division II. The former Oskaloosa Bear is 11-0 on the season inside the circle and has tossed 54 innings thus far this season in 13 appearances with 12 starts, recording four complete games.
Raegan has only surrendered 28 runs (26 earned) on the season and carries a 3.37 ERA on the year whiling giving up just 43 hits and 21 walks to opponents and recording 56 strikeouts. She has notched six or more strikeouts in five games this season and struck out 10 twice in two wins against Johnson County and Independence. Hamm also has had a few swings in her college campaign going 4-8 at the plate this season with four runs scored, an RBI, double, home run and two walks.
In high school Hamm was a strong contributor to the Oskaloosa Bears softball team helping the Bears win the Northeast Kansas League title four straight years, while also helping guide the program to a fourth place finish at State in 2015 and a 3A State runner-up finish in 2016 her junior year posting a 23-3 record that season. Hamm earned All-League honors multiple years in the NEKL and was a multiple sport athlete at Oskaloosa.
Highland softball team has put together a strong season thus far and Hamm and her teammates look to continue their success as they build towards a postseason run for the Scotties.
