Eli Prine

This week's "Blast from the Past" is Eli Prine who is currently playing baseball at Hesston.

The former Holton Wildcat has been a dual threat as both a hitter and a pitcher.

At the plate, Eli is hitting .373 with five home runs and 32 RBI’s along with eight doubles and 36 runs scored. His best game at the plate was back in late March against East Central College where he went three for five with two home runs, five RBI’s and three runs scored.

On the mound, Eli has appeared in over 19 innings and has collected 23 strikeouts. In his most recent outing last week in a 16-2 win over Minnesota Post Grad, he pitched three innings allowing no runs on one hit with seven strikeouts.

Hesston has won three of their last five and five of their last eight games. The Larks are scheduled to play a doubleheader this weekend at Highland and early next week they’ll be back at home against Kansas City Kansas Community College.
