Aaliyah Raines

This week's "Blast from the Past" is Aaliyah Raines of the Benedictine Ravens women’s basketball team.

Prior to her time with the Ravens, Aaliyah led Jefferson West to a 19-4 record and Sub-State Championship while averaging over 19 points, six rebounds, and four steals per game.

She was a three-time First Team All-Big 7 League performer and was also named two-time All-State.

Aaliyah set Jefferson West school records with 1,158 points and 303 steals.

The 5’8 junior has started in all 23 games for the Ravens this season while averaging nine points and three rebounds per game while shooting nearly 84% from the free throw line.

The Ravens are 17-6 with a 9-4 mark in conference play. They’ve been inside the NAIA top-25 rankings this season are receiving votes in the latest poll.
