Melinna Schumann

This week’s “Blast from the Past” is Melinna Schumann out of Sabetha, the 5’8 Outside Hitter who is playing volleyball at Kansas Wesleyan.

Schumann helped the Blue Jays in 2020 capture the 3A State Title for the first time in school history with a record setting 41-1 season and earning All-State honors in the process.

At Kansas Wesleyan, Schumann has appeared in 14 matches and most recently last Saturday in the Coyotes straight sets victory over Sterling to run their winning streak to 10 and improving their record to 17-7.

Schumann tallied nine digs in the match against Sterling. For the season in 14 matches, she’s tallied 37 kills and 75 digs good for over two digs per set.
