Wykeen Gill

Wykeen Gill played his high school ball at Atchison and is now a graduate student for Duquesne University which is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Duquesne is off to a 3-1 won start and have won three straight games with their lone loss at the beginning of the season at TCU.

In four games for Duquesne this season, Gill has tallied five carries for 35 yards and also seven receptions for 58 yards including a touchdown grab in last week’s win over Merrimack.

Gill spent the 2018-2020 seasons at Kansas State before transferring. During his time at Kansas State, Gill saw action in 23 games including four starts. Gill finished his K-State career with over 300 receiving yards and two scores including touchdowns against TCU and Texas while registering a career high 70 receiving yards in 2019 at Texas Tech.

Gill played at Atchison under head coach Jim Smith where he helped lead Atchison to an 8-1 record with a league and district title during his senior season in 2015. Gill threw for 1,600 yards and ran for 950 yards and tallied 37 total touchdowns during that season.

He was a two-time All-State selection by both the Wichita Eagle and the Topeka Capitol Journal and earned KCA League Player of the Year.
