Atchison Stifles Wyandotte
By Tom Kautz

The Atchison Redmen used a strong defense to shut down Wyandotte 14-0 Friday night.

An excellent crowd was on hand in Amelia Earhart Stadium for the Redmen's Homecoming and the AHS football team gave them much to cheer.  Quarterback Garyeon Simpson scored his first touchdown of the night in the first quarter to put Atchison in front 7-0.  He added his second score early in the third providing all the points the Redmen would need.

Wyandotte was held scoreless in spite of getting in the red zone twice, once inside the 5.

Atchison advances to 2-2 in the KCAL, 2-3 overall while the Bulldogs drop to 2-1, 2-2. Next up for AHS is a home date next Friday with Louisburg as District play begins.
