Sabetha Boys Win Ray Kovar Invite at St. Marys

The Sabetha boys track and field team won the Ray Kovar Invitational at St. Marys High School on Friday afternoon. Complete meet results can be found here

Girls: Notable first place finishes included Jolenna Wingerter (St. Marys) in the 100m and 200m dash, and Reese McCauley (Doniphan West) in the 100m and 300m hurdles.  

Osage City won the meet with 154 points, Northern Heights finished second place with 97 points, and Wabaunsee and St. Marys tied for third place with 65 points each. 

Sabetha finished in fifth 48 points, Doniphan West finished sixth with 45 points, Atchison County finished seventh with 31 points, and Rossville finished eighth with 22 points. 

Boys: Notable first place finishes included Will Voos (Sabetha) in the 100m, Roger Browning (St. Marys) in the 200m, Charlie Lukert (Sabetha) in the 800m and 1600m, Jack Frazee (Sabetha) in the 110m and 300m hurdles, Sabetha won the 4x800m relay, Holden Edelman (Sabetha) in the shot put and discus, Max Bottorff (ACCHS) in the javelin, Jackson Jacobs (Sabetha) in the pole vault, and Ben Handke (ACCHS) in the long jump.   

Sabetha finished the day with 165 points, Osage City finished in second place with 141 points, and ACCHS finished in third place with 65 points. 

St. Marys finished in fourth with 62 points, Jefferson West finished fifth with 30 points, Silver Lake finished seventh place with 21 points, and Rossville finished in 11th place with six points.
