Silver Lake Track Sweeps Home Spring Invitational

The Silver Lake track and field squads swept their home spring invitational on Tuesday afternoon with a fairly loaded field. Complete meet results can be found here

Girls: Silver Lake got first place finishes from Ali Gerber in the 400m dash, Claire Erb in the 800m run, Kayleigh Kruger in the shot put and discus, and Journey Manhart in the high jump. They also finished first place in the 4x400m relay. 

Other notable first place finishes came from Capri Koechner of Maur Hill in the 200m dash, and Adalynn Marlatt of Jefferson County North in the pole vault. Jefferson County North also won the 4x800m relay.

Boys: Silver Lake controlled the pace and got first place finishes from Thomas Fisher in the 400m dash while they also won the 4x400m relay. The Eagles boasted a bevy of top three finishes across multiple events as well. 

Other notable top finishes came from Kyson Proffitt of Jackson Heights in both the 100m and 200m dash events, Will Elias of Jefferson County North in the 300m hurdles, Christopher Noll of Jefferson County North won the high jump, and Alex Easterday of Jefferson County North won the pole vault. 

Jackson Heights won the 4x100m relay and Jefferson County North won the 4x800m relay.
