Silver Lake Girls Win Rossville Invite

The Silver Lake girls track and field team won the Rossville Invitational on Friday afternoon while the Silver Lake boys took home a second place finish behind Santa Fe Trail. Complete meet results can be found here

Girls: Silver Lake got first place finishes from Journey Manhart in the high jump, Addy Just in the long jump, Rayleigh Alonso in the discus, Karys Deiter in the 100m hurdles and 100m dash, Ali Gerber in the triple jump, and Kailyn Hanni in the javelin. Silver Lake also won both the 4x100m and 4x800m relay events. 

Other notable first place finishes came from Hiawatha's Pauly Rockey in the 1600m run and 800m run, and Rossville's Rylee Dick in the 300m hurdles.

Boys: Silver Lake took home a second place finish and got first place finishes from Myles Fisher in the discus, Braxton Rupp in the 110m hurdles and 100m dash, and they also finished in the top spot in the 4x100m relay. 

Other notable top finishes came from Jefferson County North's Will Elias in the long jump and 300m hurdles, and Landon Lewis of Rossville in the javelin.
