Nemaha Central Posts Impressive Game One Win vs. Sabetha

The Nemaha Central baseball team put together an impressive performance on Monday afternoon as they defeated Sabetha 17-0 in four innings. 

The game was scheduled to be played in Seneca, but field conditions forced the game to be played in Sabetha. 

The Thunder scored two in the first, seven in the second, three in the third, and five more in the fourth. 

NC pounded out 16 hits and went 11-for-17 with runners in scoring position. Kamden Schmitz was the winning pitcher going all four innings and allowing only one hit with four strikeouts. 

Carter Hajek had three hits and five RBI's including a walk off three-run home run in the fourth inning to finish the game. 

Schmitz reached base three times and scored three runs, Jack Macke had three hits and three RBI's, Carter Stallbaumer had two hits and three RBI's, Jackson Haverkamp reached base three times with two RBI's, and Levi Thomas had two hits, two RBI's, and three runs scored. 

The doubleheader turned into a split as the Bluejays came back to win game two later that night by a final score of 10-9.
