Rossville Boys Invitational Results

The Rossville boys wrestling team hosted its invitational Saturday afternoon, welcoming nearly 20 teams for a full day of competition.

Atchison County, one of the top-ranked teams in the state, claimed the team championship with 239 points. Wamego finished second with 204.5 points, while Sabetha placed third with 170.5 points. Santa Fe Trail followed in fourth with 153 points, and host Rossville rounded out the top five with 122.5 points.

Individual Results

106 pounds – Brodyn Price (Rossville) earned a third-place finish. Grant Swendson (Atchison County) placed fourth, and Bently Pryor (Sabetha) finished sixth.

113 pounds – Tanner Rhoton (Riley County) won the title with a fall over Charles Thacher (Oskaloosa). Mason Bottorff (Atchison County) placed third, while Emmett Kroll (Sabetha) finished fifth.

120 pounds – Creighton VanVleck (Rossville) finished second after falling to Justin Ott (West Franklin) in the championship match. Korbyn Stinnett (Sabetha) earned third place, and Blaine Schuh (Riley County) placed sixth.

126 pounds – Harry Langill (Nemaha Central) defeated Marshall Waters (Pleasant Ridge) by decision to secure third place. Jaxson Vice (Maur Hill–Mount Academy) finished sixth.

132 pounds – Kelton LaCock (Rossville) placed second after a decision loss to Logan Leandro (Burlington) in the title match. Isaac Wikle (Sabetha) claimed third place with a win over Logan Herman (Perry–Lecompton), while Gus Rusche (Nemaha Central) finished sixth.

138 pounds – Lincoln Menold (Sabetha) captured the championship with a sudden-victory win over Cody Falk (Atchison County). Justin Failer (St. Marys) finished third, and Cyrus England (Riley County) defeated Micah Robidou (Riverside) for fifth place.

144 pounds – Evan Falk (Atchison County) earned a runner-up finish, falling to Logan Courtois (West Franklin) in the finals. Remington Droegemeier (Rossville) placed third, and Travis Patz (Oskaloosa) finished sixth.

150 pounds – Colton Lowe (Atchison County) defeated Kayl Murray (Sabetha) to claim third place. Holden Bowe (Doniphan West) earned fifth with a win over Stone Newell (Oskaloosa).

157 pounds – Rance Vessar (Atchison County) won the championship with a fall over Kelton Ross (Wamego). Tucker Simpson (Pleasant Ridge) finished fourth, and Lavin Stallbaumer (Nemaha Central) placed fifth.

165 pounds – Kain Koontz (Atchison County) claimed the title with a fall over Curtis Fitzgerald (Sabetha). Cooper Meyer (Rossville) defeated Chance Gray (Perry–Lecompton) for third place, while Michael Garrett (Maur Hill–Mount Academy) earned fifth.

175 pounds – Max Bottorff (Atchison County) won the championship by fall over Nathan Hammond (Riley County). Andre Dalinghaus (Sabetha) finished fourth, and Ivan King (Oskaloosa) placed fifth.

190 pounds – Elijah Webb (Atchison County) secured the title with a tech fall over Cayson Ramirez (Wellsville). Brenner Lowe (Doniphan West) finished fourth, and Brendon Bestwick (Sabetha placed fifth).

215 pounds – Houston Schletzbaum (Atchison County) earned second place after falling to Talon Conrad (Wamego) in the title match. Gabe Johnson (Doniphan West) finished third.

285 pounds – Hunter Sherman (Riley County) defeated Jerek Shoemaker (Doniphan West) for third place, while Kollin Wagner (Nemaha Central) claimed fifth with a win over Noah McComb (Wellsville).
