K-Preps Rankings Heading into Second Half of the Regular Season

The high school football season is officially onto the second half of the regular season with week five matchups this week. 

K-Preps have updated their rankings through the first four weeks of the season. 

In 8M-II, Axtell remains the #1 team in the state as the Eagles won their 56th straight game against Blue Valley-Randolph 54-8. The Eagles scored all 54 points in the opening quarter. 

Hanover holds their spot down at #3 behind only Axtell and Victoria. The Wildcats are 4-0 and beat Frankfort 50-0 last week in the district opener. 

Another week with Jackson Heights ranked #1 in Class 1A. The Cobras dominated another opponent, most recently against McLouth 55-8. They have outscored their opponents 199-14 in their first four games. 

Rossville bounced back after the week three loss to Nemaha Central to beat Maranatha last Friday 69-0. The Bulldogs remain #3 in 1A behind only Jackson Heights and Sterling. 

Nemaha Central improved to 4-0 last Friday with an impressive 28-14 win in Seneca against 4A Chanute. The Thunder remain #2 in Class 2A behind the defending champs Southeast of Saline.
