The Centralia Panthers defeated the Troy Trojans on Friday night in a Class 1A district matchup by a final score of 28-20.

Troy (4-3) would lead the game 14-8 after the first quarter as they got a touchdown run from quarterback Gannon Bowe from 8-yards out and then Bowe would find Logan Blevins on a 66-yard screen pass.

Centralia's (6-1) lone touchdown in the first quarter was on a Jacob Flentie one-yard run.

The Panthers would score the only touchdown in the second quarter on a Flentie six-yard run which tied the game 14-14 at halftime.

Bowe found Blevins again in the third quarter on a 13-yard pass that capped off a near 80-yard drive and Troy would lead the game 20-14 going into the fourth quarter.

After a Troy fumble, Quentin Aldefer scored on a seven-yard run which tied the game at 20-20 after a failed two-point conversion.

Troy would then turn it over on downs and Centralia would cap a 60-yard drive in roughly four minutes with Flentie scoring what would be the game winning touchdown from five yards out with under one minute left in the game.

Centralia travels to play Riverside in the final game of the regular season for the district championship while Troy returns home to wrap up the regular season against Maur Hill-Mount Academy.
