Baseball Coaches Release 2024 All-State Teams

The Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches has released their All-State Baseball Teams with a plethora of area athletes being recognized for their athletic accomplishments on the diamond.

In Class 4A, Atchison senior catcher Jeter Purdy and senior middle infielder Boston Bruce made the First Team All-State. Phoenix sophomore pitcher Yogi Purdy made the Second Team All-State as well.

In Class 3A, Sabetha senior pitcher Christian McAfee and senior designated hitter Jacob Grimm both made First Team All-State after guiding the Bluejays to another state tournament berth. Junior pitcher Mitchell Kramer and senior outfielder Marcus Bauman are named Honorable Mentions.

Perry-Lecompton junior middle infielder Eli Dean also made the First Team All-State.

Marysville sophomore utility player Grant Haefele was named to the First Team, and senior outfielder Bryant Siemens made Second Team All-State.

Jefferson West sophomore pitcher Cooper Watkins was recognized as an Honorable Mention.

In Class 2-1A, Valley Falls senior outfielder Zac Evans was named to the First Team, and junior middle infielder Hayden Kearney and sophomore outfielder Collin Kearney were named to the Second Team. The Dragons made it to the state tournament in Great Bend for the third time in the past four seasons.

Onaga junior middle infielder Jackson Kolterman made First Team All-State, and senior outfielder Hunter Lamond and senior designated hitter Xavier Verges both were named Honorable Mentions.

Pleasant Ridge junior designated hitter Austin Green was named to the First Team, and senior pitcher Nathan Herkin made Second Team All-State.

Frankfort sophomore designated hitter Wes Anderson made First Team All-State, junior Carter Olson made the Second Team for his time in the outfield, and was recognized as an Honorable Mention for his time at third base.

Oskaloosa senior pitcher Trenten VanHoutan made Second Team All-State, and senior third baseman Coy Perry was recognized as an Honorable Mention.
