McLouth Makes Quick Work of Pratt-Skyline in State Tournament Quarterfinals

The McLouth softball team wasted little time in opening up the Class 2-1A State Tournament in Pratt with a dominant 15-0 (3) win over Pratt-Skyline. 

The top-seed Bulldogs (26-2) scored three runs in the first inning, three runs in the second inning, and finished the game putting up nine runs in the third inning. 

Dani Lee hit two home runs and drove in three while pitching a perfect, three-inning game striking out eight of the nine batters faced. 

Cresinda Bandel went 3-for-3 with three singles, two RBI's, and three runs while surpassing 70 stolen bases for the season. Leighanna Patz also hit a solo home run in the game and would score two runs. Charley Coffin added a two-RBI single and Elizabeth Subelka ended the game with a two-RBI double. 

Pratt-Skyline only had one senior in the lineup and finished their season with a record of 10-14. McLouth will face (4) Inman who beat Thomas More Prep 10-3 in the semifinals at 11:00 AM on Friday in Pratt. Games will be broadcast live on KAIR 93.7 FM.
