Neither team in Centralia or Onaga got off to a fast start in the ballgame as it was only 6-5 after the first quarter with the Buffaloes holding the one-point lead, but the second quarter proved to be different. The Panthers struck in the second stanza with a 20-4 frame and took a 15 point lead into the half, 25-10, behind a beastly quarter by junior, Kaitlyn Koch who scored 12 of her 21 points in that period.

Not to be outdone Onaga responded to start the second half with an 18-8 third quarter of action to get back with five points, only down 33-28 after three quarters in the books. Panthers responded then the push the lead back out to 10 ultimately in the fourth quarter to grab the win 47-37 on senior night.

To go along with Koch's dominating 21 points on the night for Centralia sophomore, Liz Hasenkamp chipped in 10 points with five coming from the free throw line (5-6 FT's). Onaga in the loss was lead by the post play as juniors, Jocelyn Marten tallied 11 points and Kori Meyer added 10 points, while sophomore, Katelyn Kolterman added seven points.

With the win Centralia improves to 6-14 on the season and has one more regular season game Thursday at Washington County, pending the weather before the turn their attention to postseason play next week.
