The Kansas Volleyball Association has released its Week 1 Rankings with a slew of area teams making the cut.

Nemaha Central is ranked fourth in Class 3A only behind Silver Lake, Beloit and Heritage Christian. They are coming off an impressive home tournament victory over the weekend.

In Class 2A, Jefferson County North is ranked fifth after a solid start. Right behind them at number six is Valley Heights. Both teams made the state tournament in 2022. Pleasant Ridge also enters the Week 1 rankings at ten.

Doniphan West is the highest-ranked area team in Class 1A-Division 1 at number four. Two spots behind them is fellow Twin Valley League member Centralia at number six.

Hanover is ranked second after making the state title match a year ago with the Wildcats off to a red-hot start only behind Lebo.
