The Nemaha Central track and field teams continued their strong season as they swept first place finishes at the Perry Lecompton Quad on Tuesday afternoon.
The Thunder girls finished with 129 points while Perry Lecompton finished in second place with 54 points. Jefferson West finished third with 50 points and Hiawatha tallied 27 points.
The Thunder boys finished with 115 points while Perry Lecompton finished second with 74 points. Hiawatha finished in third place with 61 points and Jefferson West finished with 16 points.
GIRLS EVENTS: In the short runs it was Julie Rottinghaus of Nemaha Central who finished in first place in the 100 meters while her teammate Heather Suther finished first in the 200 meters.
Thunder would continue their strong push as it was Hailey Nordhus who picked up first place finishes in both the 400 and 800 meters.
Maddy Mosteller of Nemaha Central won the 1600 meters while Aubrey Phillips of Jefferson West finished first place in the 3200 meters.
Nemaha Central's Cali Honeyman won both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles.
Nemaha Central won both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays and it was Perry Lecompton that won the 4x800 meter relay.
Cami Dalinghaus of Nemaha Central picked up two first place finishes as she won both the shot put and discus events.
Taylor Damme of Perry Lecompton won the javelin while Nemaha Central's Makenna Sloop won the high jump.
Mellany Roenee of Jefferson West finished first place in both the long jump and triple jump events while Nemaha Central's Hillary Stallbaumer won the pole vault.
BOYS EVENTS: Connor Kettler for Hiawatha won the 100 meter dash while it was Gavin Cain for Nemeha Central taking home first place in the 200 meters. Cain also finished first place in the triple jump.
Hiawatha picked up the top two finishes in the 400 meters as it was Felix McCartney finishing in first place. McCartney would finish second in the 800 meters while his teammate David Keo won the event.
Hiawatha's Camden Bachman won the 1600 meters while Nemaha Central's John Langill won the 3200 meters.
Dylan Lortscher of Nemaha Central finished first place in the 110 meter hurdles while Perry Lecompton's Dakota Plake finished first place in the 300 meter hurdles. Lortscher also finished first place in the long jump.
The Thunder finished first place in the 4x100 meter relay while Perry Lecompton won both the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays.
The Thunder would sweep the remaining events as it was Connor Deters finishing first place in the shot put.
Holden Bass won the discus, Joshua Gonzalez won the javelin, and Mo Hilbert won the pole vault.
