Frankfort Boys Wins Home Late Invite; Valley Heights Girls Finish Second Place

The Frankfort track and field team hosted their Late Invitational on Thursday afternoon. 

The Wildcat boys took home first place while Valley Heights and Centralia finished in second and third place respectively. Hanover and Onaga rounded out the top five in scoring. 

The Valley Heights girls finished in second place overall as Hanover finished in first place. Frankfort finished in third place followed by Centralia and Onaga. 

BOYS EVENTS: Trenton L'Ecuyer of Valley Heights posted first place finishes in both the 100 and 200 meters. The Mustangs posted four of the top five in the 100 and three of the top four in the 200. 

They also posted the top two finishes in the 400 meters as Logan Gray finished in first place followed by Caden Parker. 

Henry Heideman of Centralia finished in first place in the 800 meters followed by Onaga's Landon Koelling who took second place. Koelling also finished first in the 1600 meter run and Frankfort's Connor Smith won the 3200 meter run. 

Frankfort swept the hurdle events as Mack Schell won the 110 meter hurdles and Jett Keller finished first place in the 300 meter hurdles. 

Valley Heights won both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays while Centralia was able to capture first place in the 4x800 meter relay. 

Frankfort's Zaiver Brandt won both the shot put and the discus events. 

Drake Slifer of Valley Heights picked up a first place finish in the high jump, Centralia's Derek Ronnebaum won the pole vault, and Caden Dalinghaus of Frankfort won the triple jump. 

GIRLS EVENTS: Brooke Porter of Valley Heights picked up a first place finish in the 100 meters while Centralia's Tatum Kramer finished in second place. 

Anna Jueneman of Hanover won both the 200 and 400 meters while Maddy Vermetten of Valley Heights won the 800 meters. 

Hanover also swept the long distance runs winning the 1600 and 3200 meter runs while also picking up first place finishes in both hurdle events. 

Hanover won the 4x100, Valley Heights won the 4x400, and Frankfort won the 4x800 meter relays. 

Emma Yungeberg of Valley Heights continues her dominant season as she once again swept the throws by winning the shot put, discus, and javelin events. 

Centralia's Marissa Broxterman won the high jump while Frankfort's Joee Bussmann won the pole vault.
