Sabetha Takes Third at Nemaha Central Invitational; Thunder Finish in Fifth Place

The Nemaha Central golf team hosted a big tournament on Thursday afternoon at Spring Creek Golf Course.

The host Thunder would have a solid day finishing in fifth place out of 12 teams while Sabetha was the top local squad who finished in third place behind Wamego and Manhattan Chief. 

The top local individual was Parker Crouch from Holton who finished third place with a round of 79. A 75 won the tournament while there was also a 77 that finished in second place. 

Carter Lutz was the top Nemaha Central golfer as he finished in fifth place with a 79. Dalton Rokey of Sabetha finished in a tie for ninth place as he shot an 82. 

Lansdon Taylor of Maur Hill also fired an 82 to finish inside the top 10 while Frankfort's Joey Hardwick fired an 83 and Sabetha's Matt Whittaker with an 84 which were both good for top 15 finishes. 

Maur Hill finished sixth as a team followed by Holton in seventh place. Washington County and Frankfort finished eighth and tenth respectively while Horton and Oskaloosa rounded out the team scoring.
