Republic County hosted the Lions Club Invitational on Tuesday afternoon with a bevy of local teams in attendance.
The schools were split up into two separate divisions.
Division-1 were the smaller area schools while Division-2 posted some of the bigger schools in the area.
The Axtell boys won Division-1 with 102 points while Pike Valley finished in second place with 89 points.
Washington County and Clifton Clyde finished third and fourth respectively. Hanover and Linn finished sixth and seventh while Blue Valley came in tenth place.
The Hanover girls dominated the Division-1 scoring as they finished in first place with 173 points. Clifton Clyde finished in second place with 95 points while Washington County finished in third with 70.
Axtell finished in fourth while Linn finished in sixth place and Blue Valley in seventh place.
The Concordia boys won Division-2 and finished with 147 points. Marysville finished in second place with 126 while Nemaha Central finished in third place with 100 points.
Valley Heights finished in fifth place as the Mustangs tallied 50 points.
The Marysville girls took home first place in Division-2 with 120 points while Nemaha Central finished third place behind Beloit with 100 points. Valley Heights posted 76 points and finished in fifth place.
Emma Yungeberg of Valley Heights is now the all-classes leader in the girls shot put this season as she launched a shot that went 43 feet & 1 ½ inches which is now five inches ahead of the next closest shot
