McLouth Girls Win Perry Lecompton Invitational while PL Girls and Boys Finish Second

Perry Lecompton hosted there track and field invitational on Tuesday afternoon and it was the McLouth girls and Wellsville boys taking home the top team scores.

The McLouth girls won a bevy of events which gave them a 43 point advantage over second place Perry Lecompton. 

Corissa Bandel and Cresinda Bandel finished first and second respectively in the 100 meter dash. Corissa also won the 100 meter hurdles and both are part of the 4x100 meter relay team that finished in first place. 

Nina Hedden won multiple events with first place finishes in the 800 and 1600 meter runs while Reagan Clark finished first in the 3200 meter run. 

Katie Williams won the shot put and Mikinzi Smoots won the pole vault. 

The Kaws finished in second place and had one first place finish with Taylor Damme crushing the javelin. The Kaws nabbed second place finishes in both the 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 meter relays. 

Ryleigh Morgan finished second in the 400 meter run while Jaci Black finished second place in the 800 meter run. 

The Jeff West girls finished third place and were led by the 4x400 meter relay team that finished first place and Mellany Roenne who finished first place in the triple jump. 

Oskaloosa posted a couple of first place finishes with Holly Thacher in the 300 meter hurdles and Olivia Kilgo in the long jump. 

Atchison finished seventh place as a team and were led by Tyeera Heyward who finished first place in the high jump and finishing third place in the 100 meter hurdles. Presley Simpson finished third in both the shot put and javelin. 

The Perry Lecompton boys finished second place behind Wellsville and posted four first place finishes. Boyd Sollars won the 400 meters, Michael LeClair won the 800 meters, Kaden Doleman won the high jump, and they took home the 4x100 meter relay. 

Atchison finished in third place and posted multiple second place finishes with Jesse Greenly in the shot put, and Parker Snowden in both the javelin and pole vault. 

McLouth finished in fifth place and had multiple second place finishes with Henry Cloyd in the 400 meters, and Jared Plake in both the 1600 and 3200 meters. 

Oskaloosa, Jefferson West, and Veritas Christian rounded out the team scores.
