It was a good showing for the Nemaha Central track and field teams on Tuesday afternoon as the girls finished first at their home invitational while the boys finished in second place behind only Pawnee City.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
The Thunder girls posted seven first place finishes with Julie Rottinghaus winning the 100 meter dash. Heather Suther and Ashlyn Gudenkauf finished in second and third place respectively.
Suther won the 200 meter dash while Rottinghaus won the triple jump. Both were apart of the 4x100 meter relay team that finished in first place.
Cali Honeyman won both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles and Hailey Nordhus won the 400 meter run.
Valley Heights finished in second place with Emma Yungeberg once again flashing dominance winning the javelin, shot put, and discus. Maddy Vermetten posted a second place finish behind Yungeberg in the discus.
Centralia finished in third place and was led by Raegan Becker as she took home first place in both the long jump and the high jump. Abbie Flentie won the 800 meter run while Oen Deters posted second place finishes in the 100 meter hurdles and javelin.
The Pawnee City boys finished in first place as they finished four and a half points in front of Nemaha Central.
The Thunder posted some top finishes with John Langill taking home first place in the 3200 meter run. The 4x100 meter relay team also finished in first place with Cole Hermesch, Sam McWilliams, Carter Rottinghaus, and Gavin Cain.
Connor Deters won both the shot put and discus while Mo Hilbert won the pole vault. Joshua Gonzalez also posted a first place finish in the javelin.
Axtell finished in third place and had some top finishes with Grady Buessing taking home first place in the 1600 meter run. Grady was also part of the 4x800 meter relay team that finished first.
Brandon Schmelzle finished first place in the long jump and second place in the triple jump.
