BOYS ALL-LEAGUE
GIRLS ALL-LEAGUE
The Big 7 All-League Basketball teams have been announced as the 2021-2022 season concluded this past weekend.
The Royal Valley boys won their third straight Big 7 league title this season and finished 2nd in Class 3A, losing in the title game to Hesston this past Saturday.
Nahcs Wahwassuck was a unanimous selection to the All-League team and he was joined by his teammates K.J. Miller and Brady Klotz.
Kurtis and Marcus Beck of Nemaha Central were also unanimous selections as they helped lead the Thunder to a 18-4 season.
Sabetha also posted multiple players including Matthew Garber who was a unanimous selection and he was joined by Davis Rokey as Sabetha tallied an 18-5 season.
Perry Lecompton's Gunnar Ball was the last unanimous selection and rounding out the All-League team is Matthew Lierz of Holton and Todrick Duncan of Riverside.
Honorable mention selections include Joel Bryan of Hiawatha, Tyson Snyder of Holton, Carter Lutz of Nemaha Central, and Mason Thomas of Royal Valley.
The Hiawatha and Nemaha Central girls split the league title this season. For Nemaha Central, it was a piece of their fifth straight league title.
Hiawatha had two unanimous selections with Clara Lindstrom and Darcy Lierz. Nemaha Central's Addy Holthaus was also a unanimous selection.
Jefferson West also posted a solid season as they went 15-7 and 10-4 in league play. The Tigers posted two unanimous selections with Kristin Biltoft and Mellany Roenne.
Sabetha also added two to the All-League team with Emily Krebs and Mary Lukert. Also making All-League was Taylor Weishaar of Riverside, who was a unanimous selection, Lindsey Wisdom of Holton, and Royal Valley's Kennedy Bryan.
Honorable mention selections include Macey Patch of Holton, Nemaha Central's Taryn Ganstrom and Ella Larkin, and Taylor Damme of Perry Lecompton.
