Sports in Kansas released their All-Tournament Teams after State Basketball concluded over the weekend.
Area girls teams that competed in State Tournaments included Valley Heights (2A), Jackson Heights (2A), Centralia (1A-I), and Hanover (1A-II).
Both Valley Heights and Jackson Heights were knocked out in the 1st round as the 2A All-Tournament team was three players from Sterling, one from Garden Plain and one from Smith Center.
Centralia made it all the way to the State Title game and lost a heartbreaker to Pretty Prairie 37-35 on Saturday night in Dodge City.
Avery and Oen Deters led the charge all weekend for the Panthers and they earned All-Tournament team honors.
Oen was sensational with 21 points in the quarterfinals against Spearville, 16 against Burlingame in the Semi-Finals, and tallied 16 points in the Title game loss to Pretty Prairie.
Avery posted games of 13 points in the first round, nine points in the Semi-Finals, and 17 points in the Title Game.
Hanover would take 3rd place in Class 1A-II and they were led by Ceegan Atkins who earned All-Tournament team honors for the Wildcats as they finished their season 21-5 overall.
