The Troy boys' season came to an end on Wednesday night in Dodge City in the Class 1A-I State Tournament quarterfinals.
The Trojans were elimineted by the top-seed and defending State Champion Olpe Eagles 51-21 in the opening game of the day at United Wireless Arena.
The Eagles dominated on both sides of the ball as they raced out to a 12-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and would never look back.
Olpe extended the lead to 27-6 at halftime as Troy was 0-18 from the field and six of eight from the free throw line in the first two quarters.
Troy did bounce back with a much better third quarter outscoring Olpe 9-8 but the Eagles put the game away for good in the fourth quarter with a 16-6 advantage.
Trojans were led by Jerrit Norris with six points and 12 rebounds while Cam Anderson added five and Reagan Hartman pitched in with four.
Olpe was led by Derek Hoelting with 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Eagles improve to 23-1 and will face Macksville in the Semi-Finals on Friday.
Troy ends their season at 16-8 and got to their first State Tournament since 1998.
