We're down to the final week of the regular season in high school basketball.
The Class 1A brackets are out with first round games scheduled for later this week.
In Class 1A-II, the Axtell Sub-State will begin first round games on Thursday and Friday. The boys first round games will be on Thursday night with (4) Southern Cloud hosting (5) Wakefield. Winner will get top-seed and defending State Champion Hanover next week.
Axtell is the 3-seed and will host 6-seed Linn on Thursday night at 7:00 PM with the winner getting 2-seed Wetmore next week.
The girls bracket will have first round games on Friday. Wetmore will host Axtell in the 4/5 matchup on Friday night with the winner getting top-seed Hanover next week. Linn is the 2-seed and will host the winner of (3) Wakefield / (6) Southern Cloud next week.
The 1A-I brackets feature Sub-State's in both Clifton Clyde and Frankfort.
The Clifton Clyde Sub-State will have boys first round games on Thursday and girls first round games on Friday.
The boys first round games will feature (4) Lincoln hosting (5) Rock Hills with the winner getting top-seed Clifton Clyde next week. Solomon is the 2-seed and will host the winner of the 3/6 matchup with Blue Valley and Washington County next week.
The girls bracket has Clifton Clyde as the top-seed and Rock Hills as the 2-seed. Rock Hills will host the winner of (3) Washington County and (6) Solomon next week with those two playing on Friday night. The Eagles will get either (4) Lincoln or (5) Blue Valley who will also play on Friday night.
In the Frankfort Sub-State, the boys top 2-seeds are (1) Cair Paravel and (2) Frankfort. Cair Paravel will get the winner of (4) Centralia and (5) Doniphan West next week as those two play on Thursday night. Frankfort will play either (3) Troy or (6) Onaga next week.
The girls bracket has Centralia as the top-seed and Doniphan West as the 2-seed. (4) Cair Paravel and (5) Troy will play Friday night and will play Centralia next week. (3) Frankfort will host (6) Onaga on Friday with the winner getting Doniphan West next week.
