Sabetha Boys Take Home 3-2-1A Regional Title; ACCHS Finishes in Third

The Sabetha boys wrestling team captured the 3-2-1A Regional Title at Silver Lake on Saturday with ACCHS finishing in third place. 

Sabetha had three individual Champions with Cullen Wikle at 126, Colin Menold at 132, and Jonathan Renyer at 152. They also posted multiple second place finishes with Kellen Menold at 113, Josh Herrmann at 170, and Joshua Grimm at 285. 

Sabetha's other placers include Caleb Renyer at 106 finishing in third place, Kellan Spielman fourth at 138, Jacob Kuenzi third at 182, and Dalton Rokey third at 195 pounds. 

The Tigers of ACCHS finished in third place and had the individual Champion at 145 pounds with Easton Schletzbaum. ACCHS also had three second place finishers with Mason Scholz at 132 pounds, Bricen Lee at 160, and Vincent Webb at 195. 

Other placers for ACCHS include Austin Smith fourth at 126, Carter Page fourth at 170, Conner Simmers fourth at 195, and Tyler McRae fourth at 220. 

Nemaha Central's Keaton Rottinghaus took home the Regional Title at 106 pounds while Andrew Stewart of Pleasant Ridge finished in second. The Thunder's John Langill also won the Regional title at 120 pounds while Isaiah Kruse of Pleasant Ridge finished in second. 

Riverside's Cody Hewins finished in third while Oskaloosa's Jesse Thacher finished in fourth at 120 pounds. 

Lucas Holthaus of Nemaha Central finished third at 113 pounds. 

Onaga's Landon Koelling took home a second place finish at 126 pounds. Kaid Schwant for the Buffaloes took home a third place finish at 152 while Rilyn Mayginnes finished in second place at 182. 

Mason Ewart of Pleasant Ridge finished in third at 132 pounds. 

Pat Madden of Maur Hill-Mount Academy finished in third place at 145 pounds. 

Nemaha Central's Abram Keim finished in fourth place at 160 pounds. 

Nick Thompson of Centralia finished in fourth place at 195 pounds. 

Justin Miller of Oskaloosa finished in third place at 285 pounds. 

The 3-2-1A State Tournament will be Friday and Saturday (25th and 26th) at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays.
