The Centralia Panthers took care of business on Friday night at home sweeping the Frankfort Wildcats in a pair of TVL victories.
Girls: Frankfort 32, Centralia 46
The Lady Panthers created their separation in the second and fourth quarters. They would outscore the Wildcats 10-4 in the second and then put the game away in the fourth with a 15-8 advantage.
It was 21-20 between the two in the first and third quarters.
Another solid night across the board for Avery and Oen Deters. Oen led Centralia with 14 points and seven rebounds while Avery posted a stout double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Lena Haverkamp and Abbie Flentie each added seven points.
Frankfort was led by Hattie Gros who was solid all night, posting 15 points and five rebounds. Emma Hardwick had four while Kayla Cornelison and Breleigh Ebert each had three points.
The Panthers, #2 in 1A-I, stays undefeated at 14-0 while Frankfort drops to 9-6 with the loss.
Boys: Frankfort 33, Centralia 41
This was a big win in the nightcap for Centralia as they had tallied three straight losses after winning the TVL Tournament a couple of weeks ago.
The Panthers controlled the pace in the second half which proved to be the difference. Frankfort led 9-4 after the first quarter and 20-17 at halftime.
Centralia would outscore Frankfort 24-13 in the second half including 12-2 in the third quarter.
Brock Reinecke and Trenton Tally each posted 13 point nights while Reinecke also added seven rebounds.
Presly Bowers was solid with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Frankfort has their four-game winning streak snapped as they got 11 points from Ethan Armstrong and 10 points from Caden Dalinghaus.
Samuel Gros also had a nice night with seven points and nine rebounds.
Centralia gets to 9-5 with the win while Frankfort drops to 11-5 overall.
