Latest Rankings Released by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association

The first rankings for the month of February have been released by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association with just a few weeks left in the regular season. 

In the girls rankings this week, Hiawatha holds true at #6 in Class 3A as they currently sit with a 12-2 record. 

Valley Heights remains #2 in Class 2A while Jackson Heights is ranked sixth. Mustangs are 13-1 and undefeated in TVL play while the Cobras just suffered their first loss of the season last weekend against Hiawatha. 

Centralia continues to hold the number two spot in Class 1A-I behind only Hodgeman County. Panthers are 13-0 and coming off a hard fought four-point win on Tuesday night at 4A #6 Rock Creek. 

Doniphan West holds on in the rankings this week at #10 in 1A-I as they are currently 10-4. 

In Class 1A-II, Hanover drops a spot to #4 this week as the Wildcats are 10-4. 

In the boys rankings this week, Royal Valley remains #1 in Class 3A and are still undefeated after a victory over Perry Lecompton on Tuesday night. Nemaha Central is in a tie for fourth with Galena. The Thunder have won nine straight and are 13-1 after a victory on Tuesday at Hiawatha. 

Valley Falls, still undefeated at 14-0, is number three in Class 2A behind only Hillsboro and St. Mary's. 

Centralia remains in the 1A-I ranks at #9 despite three straight losses after winning the TVL Tournament. Panthers are currently 8-5 and will host Frankfort on Friday night. 

Rounding out the rankings this week is Hanover who is number one in Class 1A-II sitting with a 13-1 record.
